Welcome to the Colorectal Research Fund website.
The charity was established in 2006 to finance an area of academic medical research restricted by budget. We support doctors and research fellows at St George’s Hospital, London to continue their research and clinical trials with patients suffering with Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, IBS and Bowel Cancer. The research is led by Professor Devinder Kumar PhD FRCS a leading specialist in gastrointestinal surgery.
The main aim of the charity is to raise money and this is where you can help. Many people are giving their time and energies to voluntary and charity work; it’s rewarding and it's fun. All of our trustees and fundraisers are unpaid volunteers who also work full time in their chosen professions. We spend the absolute minimum on administration costs so all of the money raised can go straight into the research projects. You too can join us at organised events or hold your own fundraising event, become a volunteer or join our fundraising committee; we would love to hear from you.
